The Parish of Aldingbourne will be represented this Sunday 8^th November at two local services to honour servicemen and women from our local Parishes who gave their lives in conflict.  Services of commemoration will take place from 10.55am at St Mary's Church, Aldingbourne and at 10.45 at the Eastergate 'Lion' war memorial.

At St.Mary's the memorial cross bears the names of 43 local soldiers and sailors, and the Eastergate Lion memorial is inscribed with a further 35 names. The Commonwealth War Graves Commission cares for four graves at Aldingbourne St.Mary's Church.

If you're travelling between Westergate, Eastergate and Fontwell on Sunday, please be aware that the A29/B2233 main Road will be CLOSED to all traffic for the ceremony at the Lion memorial from 10.45am - 11.15am and Service 500 bus services may be subject to delay.
